Royal Academy of Arts, London, 2026

“The Next Step” has been selected to hang in the 2026 edition of the Royal Academy of Arts’ Summer Exhibition, this year co-ordinated by Ryan Gander OBE RA. Writing on this year's theme of Interconnectedness, Gander states the selction of works will "... aim to explore ideas of entanglement, as well as the unexpected and fortuitous connections and associations between disparate things, no matter how abstract or illogical. Proof that, as humans, our outputs hold more commonality than separation, without us intentionally seeking it."

Proceeds from this editioned pigment print, made from a 35mm slide transparency, go directly to Great Ormand Street Hospital for Children. The exhibition runs from 16th June until 23rd August and Scott's work is hung in Gallery VIII, curated by Eileen Cooper RA.
